CS Foundation course or exam is an entry-level for students interested to pursue a career in Company Secretary (CS). CS Foundation course is conducted by The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) is the replacement of CS Foundation which was introduced in Feb 3rd, 2020 by The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) under the new scheme. CSEET course or exam is an entry-level for students interested to pursue a career in Company Secretary (CS). CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) is the only qualifying entrance test for registration to the CS Executive Programme.
CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) is applicable for the students who are registering for CS Course after Feb 3rd, 2020. Previously registered students are eligible only for CS Foundation Course.
Candidates who wish to pursue Company Secretary (CS) Course can register for CS Foundation Course after appearing in the 12std or HSC (State Board or CBSE) examination but the candidates are only eligible to write the CS Foundation exams once you clear your 12th Std. or HSC (State Board or CBSE).
Candidates who wish to pursue Company Secretary (CS) Course after Feb 3rd, 2020 can register for CSEET Course.
A candidate passed/appearing in the Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination or equivalent thereto is eligible to appear in the CSEET.
All Graduates/ Post Graduates who were hitherto eligible for registration directly to CS Executive Programme, are also required to pass the CSEET to become eligible for registration to Executive Programme
Candidates who have passed the CS Foundation Programme are exempted from CSEET without any payment of exemption fee.
Candidates who have passed the Final Examination of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and/or The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) are exempted from CSEET and shall pay Rs. 5,000 (Rupees Five Thousand Only) towards exemption fee at the time of Registration to CS Executive Programme.

Yes. As per the present guidelines, the following categories of students are exempted from qualifying CSEET and are eligible to seek registration directly to Executive Programme :
