ABOUT CMA INTERMEDIATE

Second Level of CMA – Technical & Practical

CMA Intermediate is the second level of the CMA program and builds strong technical knowledge in accounting, taxation, cost management, and financial decision-making.


It prepares students for strategic and advanced studies at the Final level. Intermediate transforms theoretical knowledge into practical accounting and cost management skills.

CMA INTERMEDIATE ELIGIBILITY

You can register for CMA Intermediate if you:

  • Passed CMA Foundation OR
  • Are a graduate (Direct Entry) OR
  • CA/CMA Inter qualified

Duration: Minimum 10 months after registration.

CMA INTERMEDIATE SUBJECTS – DETAILED BREAKDOWN

Group I: Business Laws & Ethics; Financial Accounting; Direct & Indirect Taxation; Cost Accounting. Focus: Legal framework, taxation, cost computation.


Group II: Operations Management & Strategic Management; Corporate Accounting & Auditing; Financial Management & Business Data Analytics; Management Accounting. Focus: Strategic planning, financial control, analytics.

Examination Pattern: Offline exam | 100 marks per paper | Twice yearly (June & December) | 40% per paper & 50% aggregate per group.


Practical Exposure: Students can start 15 months practical training after registration.

Study Strategy: Master Cost Accounting numericals; Strong focus on taxation; Practice financial management problems; Revise case-based questions.
